strange day
Today my supercrew did somthing strange, 2 times it did not start on the first hit but did on the second try. Along with that and at the same time the door ajar lite was on and acting like the door was open, even the chime in the dash was going off. This only happened when the starting didnt go on the first try. Anyone have any ideas? the truck is a 2003 supercrew 4x4 with a 5.4 and auto trans. Thanks in advance guys!

I should also add that every time that it started normally, the door ajar light did not come on, no door chime, etc, as it should be. Also where are the door jamb switches that turn on the interior lights as I can't find them.

The swithches are inside the door with the latch, at least that is where they are on my 97 150 4X. They have a history of getting dirty and not working, you can spray 'em down with contact cleaner, but since your truck is not starting appropriately, it sounds like it may be more. lol. It looks like I am going to have to replace the GEM. Do some searches.
