Had one of those in my old 72 B&l*a%z@e$r, pardon my french. I loved it, worked great and even had a secret stash behind one of the mirrors that fell off and got velcro'd back on. Is that one a WINK mirror?

Yep. WINK five-pane. Almost every parts store (except maybe NAPA) has them in stock for about fifteen bucks.

In a Geo Metro, or a Taurus I happen to know that they will go from one side all the way to the other! In a full size truck it only covers about three fifths of the top edge, but I'm still thinking of adding a fold down sun shade.

I've also thought about stuffing a strip of black foam rubber between the top and the window frame to both absorb shimmy and add a little extra sun blocking ability (the mounts have plenty of adjustment room).

PSONEDIT: I remembered that BigDaddy II was asking about this, but I forgot I had posted a picture of it already. Note landfill permit clipped to the adjustment ****!

Yup, WINK that's what I had. $15 has got me wanting to put one in my 96 Bronco. My last one shimmied a little and I made some heavy duty brackets for it and fixed its shakey shakey.

Cheers!

Supposedly there is a glass-mount kit for them that can also be used to stiffen them. But I like the foam rubber idea because it would be simple, easy, and it would still be fully adjustable without any extra hardware to fiddle with.

I've been thinking about a larger mirror, but that thing is HUGE.

Slightly OT: Watched Crocodile Dundee last night I love that movie.
