ford family

My wife has a 96 v-6 explorer, 180,000 and runs great. I have a 95 f-150 with the small 8 and 200,000 miles. And my most recent additon is a 2004 small 8 f-150. All run great and are in great shape. The 2004 has 20,000 on it and I still don't feel like it has the power the 95 f-150 has, even with 200,000 on it. Any recomendations on this? I have the extended warranty and am leary of these computer chips. Should I be, and which ones are the most popular? I have rebuilt the front end on the 95 twice, new springs, ball joints, tie-rod ends etc.I don't mind wrenching on these but I''m hesitant to mess with computers. Greg

Hi and welcome to FTE! Be sure to read this to help you around this site: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=300691 There are also State, Provincial and International Chapters located near the bottom of the main forum page.

Sounds like you have some great vehicles. Maybe head over to the 2004-2006 F-150 forum and ask your question over there. Those guys know some great stuff.

See ya on the boards!

-Matt
