I was wondering if anyone was using amsoil synthetic oil and dual filter system from amsoil. Have been thinking about installing this system, but wanted to hear from someone that is using it. If you have it is it worth the money and is it a big hassle.
ive got that setup on all my trucks. been running it since 95.
in my opinon its definately worth the extra money. it pays out in the long run especially with oil prices going the way they are. its a litte more work in the fact that sending oil samples out. but this way you dont have near the amount of oil to dispose of every 5k. just have the 2 filters and the oil thats in them. you can order your stuff off the net too so you dont have to go to the parts store for all that. my 94.5 went almost 600k on the motor. ive got a 97 with almost 200k on it and a 00 with almost 100k on it. been running it in all the trucks since 10k. i wont switch back to dino oil.
oh yeah the only thing i didnt like about the system was the hose that comes with it. it seeped on all my installs and im just not that confident in that type hose so i had braided stainless teflon hoses made from a racecar shop in california. i cant remember the name of the place or find the link right now. i think they were in tehachapi though.
