Center cap measurement
I have some american racing wheels with the center caps that just pop on and off and the truck was already missing the rear 2 when I bought it. Ive finally come up with some extra money to buy a set of push through ones but im having a bit of a problem. When ordering it asks for the diamter. When I measure the caps I currently have do I measure to total OD of the cap,the diameter from the little "clips" that hold it onto the wheel, or the diamter of the "top side" that face outwards (side with logo)?

If you can just measure the hole in the wheel. I used a set of calipers to do it on the truck. I got a set of old school wheels off ebay and they were 4 7/8. My son has a new dodge and they are 5. If you have a 4x4 you need to get what they call a top hat for the back, they have a plate that goes over the lugs behind the wheel, the fronts have little tabs that just grab the wheel in four places.
