engine ticking
hello i have a 2.3 dohc 97 ford ranger ,and there is a taping or ticking nose coming from the top cover,it ticks faster as i accelerate,so i was wondering whether that could be the lifters?,and if so do i need to change the camshaft also if im changing 1 lifter ?or should all lifters be changed? if thats the case what would it cost to do that at the ford dealer thanx

ok this makes no sence,i changed my belt on the truck ,put a new one in,and the ticking is gone and the truck is running smooth with no noises or anything like brand new,alltho the old belt was preety bad preety chewed up .i swear sounded like the lifters were gone...
