alrite guys and gals well about a month aago my truck was keyed really bad and to get it fixed would cost me about 1000. here comes the good part i found out who did it, it was a laborer who doesn't like me and he use t park right next to me and then after ym truck got keyed he moved his car to the other side of the parkin lot .also i found out that he plans on doing more damage to my truck on mischief night. and i do know for a fact he keyed my truck but he doesn't know i know, what would you do
You'd have to prove he did it before you can do anything about it. And I'd advise against retaliation, unless it can be done without him proving it was you.
get photo's of him in the act....and prosecute the heck out of him. it's only a misdemeanor( criminal mischief) but at least you'd have it on record, and might even get a judgement ordering him to pay for your damages.
or ...a less legal method and probably land you in jail, beat the snot out of him.
put a noticeable note on both sides of your truck that says "if any more damage is done to my truck, you will not be able to drive your Blue 81 Honda Avalon" DO NOT put his name in the note, just put his vehicle description, that should scare him off. That is, if he reads the note first...
I like the catching him in the act advice though, if only you could borrow some cam-corders and set them up facing out of each window without them being too obvious....
There are proximity flame throwers available in Brazil? I believe, gives the criminal a hot foot!!!
Wait for him with a paintbal gun and shoot him and his vehicle?
Nah, just try and catch him in the act and remember: "Don't get into a fight with idiots, they only drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience!"
you gotta love 85Fords' response....but as we all know the perp would end up w/ a judgement from you. videoing the dirt bag is your best bet. a pain but w/ the cost of body work, staying up 1 night works out to about $ 125 / hr for the sleep lost. good luck
accell super coil hooked up to the truck, and a puddle of water under/around the truck. SHOCKING!!! or 1 well placed shot from a 30-06.
really, the video camera in a well lit lot is the way to go. he can say all the bull scrap he wants, but when the judge sees the video, it will be all over.
I'm sorry, but I guess this is just me. You touch my stuff and I find out, you won't be able to explain it in court. Divide that $1000 dollars, by how many hours YOU have to work to pay for it. Take that as money out of your families pocket. Take that as money out of your kids college fund or retirement or the house you wanted to buy. Sorry folks, but homer wouldn't be walking anymore.
Feel free to flame away.

Key his car...and if you're really feeling like a jerk, cut his brake lines, or slash his tires. Just as long as you can do it with absolutly no preef that it was you who damaged his car.
I was in BJ's (member warehouse) the other night, and saw a wireless video camera (with built-in microphone) with transmitter for $79.00. It had a cigarette lighter adapter, and broadcasts on 2.4 ghz.
Have the receiver attached to a vhs recorder, and tape away!
I've also seen them at Radio Shack.
Catch the hoodlum on tape and call the police. (You might want to show HIM the video, and tell him that as soon as the video is finished playing, the police on the other side of the door want to talk to him!)
I would ask the (create your own description here)-> __ _ _ _ ___ __ ___ _ how he would feel if his vehicle was damaged the way yours was.
Then ask him how long it's going to take for his family to recover the $$$ for him having to pay for the damage(s) he's inflicted on your property!
Violence is NOT the answer. Hit 'em where it hurts. In his WALLET!
i plan on doing the video camera deal but i mean courts ain't gonna do nothin. the sad thing is he is 30yrs and i am 20 and he did it bacause he doesn't like me and he aint' got the nuts to stand up to me which is pathetic. so if i am able to get him on video he doesn't make enough money in 6weeks to payfor what the damages are.
as for brake lines bein cut he would know that it was me as well as the tires. i was thinkin either alittle soap in the gas tank or alittle bleach so i could destory his fuelsytem and he wuld have no way of proving it was me heck i would love to come into work we both leave to go on a job and then come back to the job and his car magically dissapeared
Stooping to his level (retaliation) makes you no more a man than he is. How do you know he plans more damage? Do you have a mole in his camp? I would have to let someone with authority know the score, then as mentioned earlier, get it on tape. Nowadays, these things seem to escalate beyond the point of no return. How many disgruntled coworker stories have you heard lately? Now, don't get me wrong, I'm in favor of a good ol' ***-whippin' as the next guy, but think of the consequences. Who's gonna look like the bad guy? Is it worth the loss of your job for some short-lived satisfaction? All I'm saying is, think. Evidently this guy doesn't.
Please allow me to say this, again. Go to the Police.
Here, in Maryland. . . . there is a charge called: Tampering with a Motor Vehicle.
It is NOT a misdemeanor!
Go to the Police with your friend, and let them handle it. This miscreant that is messing with your transportation is a criminal.
Plain, pure and simple.
