quick question (heater core)

Heater core went out. Is there a difference between a heater core with a truck with air than one with with out.

I have mine out when I went to the parts place the one they ordered for me looked nothing like the one I took out. They said the book showed it was the right one. I told them obvisouly it isnt't because this is the one that came off the truck.
