Frame numbers

Frame numbers
I recently recieved a LMC catalog and while going through it I happened on the Vehicle I.D. page. I ended up scratching my head. I have a 76 F250 SC, according to the catalog my V.I.N. ought to start with X25 but mine starts with F25. The numbers are the same on the door sticker and any where else I can find the V.I.N. listed on the truck. The only ones I haven't checked are the frame numbers. Would somebody please tell me where they're located so I can check them too. Also if anyone knows why my numbers don't match the catalog, it would be appreciated. I do know for sure that the body is origional to the frame.

F25 is for any 2wd F250. I don't know why they printed an X there. Could be a typo.
F24 is for a 4x4 F250.
The vin # on the frame is usually on the passenger side on the top of the frame rail a little over 1/2 way back between the core support and firewall.

LxMan1, according to the catalog in front of me they list the following. x10- F100 2wd sc, x14-F150 4wd sc, x15- F150 2wd sc, x25- F250 2wd sc, and x26- F250 4wd sc. These are supposed to be the start of each respective V.I.N. code. Easy to see why I got confused.
