Something to remember is that each bend in the pipe is a restriction to flow(unless mandrel bent) so it would be wise to be a little larger to compensate for the flow loss from the bends.
Well, 66beater idle to 5500 is the usuage range. As for bends i currently have 2, the pipe is bent to fit under a crossmember. I may just stay with the current setup, i think the glasspacks add just enough restriction to work fine. Noise, is not an issue to me, i don't want it to be quiet.
I want to explain the glasspacks a little better, again they are 2 inch inner diameter. They are 2 way, there have louvers inside that are offset, making me think the air does a spirling motion. On the reverse if used, is that those same louvers catch a certain amount of exhaust. There is no steel mesh, in these glasspacks.
The only thing that i have found out for sure is that i need to buy some loctite for the bolts. The lock washers don't work.
