Magna Flow

can i put a flow master or magna flow exhaust on my '98 4.2l truck?

since its a 4.2 6 banger, yer not going to like the sound it puts off.. but will better the truck on gas mileage and a lil more power

Silver, I'd recomend a Magnaflow on your truck. I put a Magnaflow on my girlfriend's 2002 F150 with the 4.2L like yours and it sounds pretty good for a V6. Of course at high RPMs it sounds bad but you can't get away from that with a 6 cylinder. As big5.0 said, you will gain with the Magnaflow. My girlfriend's truck has a lot more power with it than it did with the muffler the former owner put on it. It was a Flowmaster 50 Series. It sounded like rice and the truck had no torque. The Magnaflow made a noticeable difference in power, and she gets better gas mileage too.
