So all of us mechanics/home mechanics know that having a box of disposable latex gloves is great, and some Mechanix gloves when you know your going to bust a knuckle cracking that tough nut loose... but most stores such as Awful Zone, Poop Boys, Crapa Auto Parts and so on, dont carry large packs of them, and they over charge you... Does anyone here know of a good place to go to buy these latex gloves in bulk for a decent price. Online or some store somewhere. I just check up on my truck so often, like air pressure, joints, other stuff and the gloves go fast... Any input on where to buy a nice bulk amout of gloves...? Thanks all.
You might also consider vinyl gloves. They are less likely to irritate skin and will not tear as easily. Sadly, they still puncture just fine, letting in some liquids.
We buy ours from a local packaging supplier. Look for suppliers of boxes, paper towels etc, usually they will have gloves in bulk. I think Janitor supplys also have them.
My wifes Yellow Playtex gloves from the supermarket are much stronger and less punture prone, but have less "touch" feel.
If you're looking for just plain latex gloves like what we use in foodservice do a google search. YOu can buy the factory direct for about ~$2 a box. That's 100 or 200 gloves, I don't remember right off hand.
Wow - Do I feel slow today, WHY did I not think of Wal-Mart or Costco. They have all that fun stuff, and i also agree with the big dish washing type gloves. thicker and go farther up your arm but with less finger feel/ability... Good point from all of you. Thank you Jim Henderson/PitRow/Trike1946
Northern Tools and Summit. My Advance Auto Parts carries the blue nitrile gloves in 50 count containers. If you buy the thick ones, they last a long time and do not rip, and all you need to do is wipe them down with a rag to clean them. Then turn them inside out to dry. The only disadvantage to the thicker ones is if wraps around a running impact extension or socket (OUCH - did that once) they will not rip like the cheaper ones.
I am not trying to be rude, but why do you need gloves when you work on your truck? Is there something other than battery acid that I should be aware of?

Latex or nitrile gloves are VERY nice when working on greasy/dirty things...
Want to do something that requires clean hands? Just remove the gloves, throw them away, and get a fresh pair when you're ready...
Once again all, thank you - The local Medical Supply Stores have them in great bulk and great prices - Thanks "5_labsownus" - also I found out that if a box is accidently opened at a hospital in a not clean area ,that they will just toss them away, so im gonna let them know they can trash them all at my house...
