A lot of truck/4x4 mags have lists in special-edition issues. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but they do publish articles and lists about how much lift you'd need to fit a certain size tire on different trucks.
That basically had no logical answer to your question, and I'm sorry.
i am looking for a dana 60 solid front axle to put in the front of my jeep. gonna narrow it a bit. i know they are hard to come by and expensive.. i didnt no what years they could be found in. but i might have to end up going with an 8 lug 44.
Just what are ya looking for?
HP 60's 78-79 some F250's all F350's these will center up near perfect in a jeep,
or both sides can be cut down to size ....Kingpin style.
1980-97 F350 are off set a bit different, only 1 side needs cut to get near stock jeep width, I think all F250's during these years are IFS.
Also 1/2 tons make a nice swap for a jeep, HP44 frt and a 9in rear.
Look for 1977 or older.
You can even buy a HP 3rd member for the 9in.
HP 60's go for $1000
I see 1/2 tons sitting around all the time $300-$500 complete.
Reguardless to do a nice clean swap anit cheap!
As of now I'm building ANOTHER set of 60's for my next jeep,
they are staying full width!
Here's a little top secret info for ya http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/web_rs44.html
Geno
now these (1980-97 F350 dana 60 ,are off set a bit different, only 1 side needs cut to get near stock jeep width,) are a solid front axle, not that twin beam axle stuff.
