your 79 sounds like exactly what I want. How much do you estimate it to be worth? Is it rare to find a 79 with a/c? I live in Texas, do you think it will be hard to find a 78 or 79 with no rust? Thank you for beings so helpful

I bought mine from a friend for 4800. But that was a one time only be in the right place deal. Also the motor is built with alot of nice hop-up parts. There is probably close to 2500 in the motor alone. I would think a TX truck should stand a good chane of having a/c. Again in south rust is not a problem. And what little there is is usually pretty easy to fix. The online store here has all the replacement panels anyone could need as well too. Have you checked the auto trader online yet.
My brother runs delivers to TX alot and says the trucks are cheaper there then up here. He even bought another truck there last year for their company, and also bought one for another friend.

I'm in tx and I got my 79 f100 for 1750. The guy was asking 2000 for it. My 85 has only surface rust and a 300 6 and it was only 300 and the 83 was a family hand me down from my uncle. I'm in Levelland tx and there's a guy north of town that usually has at least one ford truck out there for sale at (considering some prices I've heard) reasonable prices. Last I saw, he had 3 73 - 79 Fords out there. If you would like, I'll see about getting his number for you and you can keep in touch with him or he could even get back to you if he comes across what you're looking for.
Connie (only Ford luvr in the family!)
'79 f100 "Silver Ghost" (my baby)
'83 f100 "The Ford" (my first)
'85 f150 "Old Blue" (my next project)
Just for price comparison, I bought a 79 F150 Ranger XLT, A/C, no dents no rust, decent paint, 120K miles here in Florida for $2500. It had new tires and runs great. I had been looking for quite some time and it was the best deal I could find.
