[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-May-02 AT 06:31 PM (EST)]My driver's side hinge is bad, too. I haven't tried to fix it yet, but I did see some hinge pin and bushing kits for Ford at AutoZone. They're on the HELP rack...with all the other HELP products. Seeing as I have tried all auto parts stores too, I would think the only other option is to get a good and complete hinge from the salvage yard.
Also, to add....I would like to know if anyone has tried the hinge and bushing kits from AutoZone, so I'll know whether to bother to try them or not. I firmly believe that everything spent (no matter how small) and wasted on one part could have been the missing $$$ on another.
I replaced mine last summer on my 77'. I used the 80's model bushings and a 3/8" (i think????) hardened bolt. Machined out the brass bushings and polished the bolt...took about 15 min. They work great...I'll let you know how they hold up in a few years.
