Help Needed!!!
Hi Everyone. In need of help. Tonight on my way home from work my 99 Ranger
3.0 flex fuel,with 140k on starts running like hell. First the ABS light came on
then I noticed it was shifting hard. Next the o/d light started flashing,the check engine light came on and the speedometer stopped working. After getting home and turning the engine off and restarting the only light that went out was the check engine light. Went for a short drive around the block and it's still shifting hard, o/d flashing and still no speedometer. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

my guess is you have a bad vehicle speed sensor, if you pull the codes out of it, it will probably have a p0500, this would explain why it shifts hard and the cel and abs light,
if the truck doesnt know how fast it is going, it doesnt know when to shift. hope this helps
