intermittent wipers

I have an intermittent wiper switch from a 70's f series truck that I want to put into my 78 F-150. But I am not positive how I go about that. Any advice??

do you have the control box too, if you do it should just plug in. If not you'll need the box.

NO ...It won't .

For plug & Play without any changes you need the system from a 77-70.

They are all NOT equal.

Thanks Supercab2!! I found the article I believe you are talking about. The switch in the pictures looks just like the one I have. At least now I know where to put that control box. Thanks to everyone for their help with this.

The 85, did it have a seperate control box? I was trying to find a 73-79 delay at the local scrap yard but no luck! We did find some older model ones though.. how do you make them work?

Yes it did, just unplug the conections and the ground and grab the switch and little black box that is attatched. When you get home just plug it in, hook up the ground and go.

The 85 was wired the same as our trucks? Hmmm, I wonder if the control box in my 90 E is the same?

I found one out of a 1985 f150 (switch and conlrol box) for my 1977 f250. The 85 has one pulg that goes to the control box, and a ground wire . The 77 had 2 plugs. Just plug the large one from the 77 into the 85 control box and the small wire one (2 wires) so that the black with green tracer goes on the only lug left in the control box. Done was the coolest thing i ever did to that truck for under 3 bucks. Works great.
