429 and 460
That is a cool webpage but doesn't quite answer my question. I acquired a 460 block with crank and that's it. The crank is 460 because the number on it is 2YABC. I purchased rods and pistons for the rebuild on E-Bay for a 429. The rods are D00E and the pistons are stamped 429. Will I be able to use these pistons or will I have to get 460 pistons?
I also purchased a set of DOVE-A heads for $250. Did I get ripped or was this a good deal? What performance modifications would you suggest for these heads?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 25-May-02 AT 01:24 PM (EST)]The crank is the difference.Are you sure it doesn't say ZYA instead of 2YA on the #3 counter-weight of an IRON crank?
The stock pistons change from double eyebrow to a dished piston..
All the D0VE heads need is porting & polishing.
The 385 series pros are on the 460 engine froum.
Maybe head there for more in-depth answers.
