My truck is an 85 EFI. And i wanted to give it a little more life..like a cam...buuuut the darn efi wont take well to a lumpy cam im told.
I have no idea what is required of this swap, please enlighten me a bit.
How much does the average swap cost?
Am i waisting my time, considering the truck is in very very good shape under the hood and id hate to take away from the looks under the hood. Its a flareside so its worth some money and i dont wanna screw it up, lol.
And is there a good site that i can buy all the required hardware new if needed? And if so,what am i looking for?
lumpy doesnt mean its good by the way. like mustang said there are plenty of speed density cams that produce good power. just keep in mind that the lobe seperation must not be less then 114* and the computer will be happy. compcam has plenty to choose from.
