I was looking at slotted rotors for my early 99, seems that they are only avaliable for 99's made after 3-15-99. Any help would be appreciated. thanks Alan from wisconsin
I just got a full set for my '00 F250. Slotted and cross drilled, 360 with free shipping. I installed them Saturday, what a difference. send rich c at rotorpros.com an email and see what he can do for you.
To put the later rotors on, you need to change the hub bearing units out for the newer style as well. Mine are sitting in boxes, ready for install over Thanksgiving.
I'm going to the later design because I need both rotors and hubs and it's nice to have availability if you have a problem on the road. It is much easier to find the later design in a pinch. Hubs are around 225 each and the rotors are probably another 125 each or so. I bought a kit from powerstrokeshop and it had hubs, studs+hardware, o-rings, seals, and ball joints for around 600??? I also bought the performance friction brakes which included the front rotors and F/R pads. I am now in tool acquisition mode. I want to be able to just knock it out when the time comes. Right now my dual steering stabilizer is doing a great job masking on the worn out components!
