Spare tire
Greetings. I have been lurking for a while, but this is the first time that I logged on and posted anything.
I am a new owner of an old truck, a '75 F350 460 Super Cab Camper Special. It's a far cry from the Pinto-Powered Ranger I had previously. I am still getting familiar with the truck and crawled under to check the spare tire. It wasn't in the usual place under the bed ahead of the rear bumper or anywhere else I could think of to look. Neither was any kind of mounting or hanging bracket or door in the side of the bed. Where is it supposed to be on this thing?

Hmmm... I have a support for the trailer hitch running through there. Thanks for the info. I guess I will have to crawl around under some other trucks to see what is supposed to be there and what I can come up with.

Hello Boof. Welcome. I have the exact same truck. My spare is located underneath just ahead of the rear bumper. You should have the spare carrier there like Dennis said. Perhaps it was removed to make room for the hitch mounting hardware. If you no longer have room you might have to come up with another solution or remove the hitch. But you knew that. You might also check to see if you have a jack. It should be located under the hood, mounted to the fender on the drivers side.

I posted a photo of a SUPER Camper Special and the spare was kept just behind the cab in an indent of the rightside of the bed.
