spark plug blowout problem
I'm a die hard ford guy but i find it very disappointing that ford hasn't fixed the spark plug blowout problem with the 4.6 , 5.4 , and 6.8 motors . I traded in a 2000 lightning for my 2002 superduty and when i had the lightning i heard of the spark plug problem , but i just figured it was guys driving the hell out of them.These motors have been out for a long time and it doesn't seem that ford has addressed the problem ? My superduty just passed the 36 month mark and now i wish i bought the extended warranty .

your 2002 should be fine. ford did address the problem i believe in 2000 or 2001. someone else here can confirm that. but the percentage of blowouts is extremely small for the amount of engines produced, you just see it on this site alot so we all have something to talk about.
