Bulbs in Dash
How do i get to and replace the light bulbs in the dash of an 80-86 my tach light is out and i cant see it in the dark
Also what bulb do i use for the dome, its the fancy dome with the reading lamps in it.

You have to pull the dash.
Disconnect the battery, then turn the headlight switch on.
Reach around under the dash, and feel on the headlight switch for a little button. Push this button and pull the headlight switch **** out. Then take the headlight switch out.
Take a small allen wrench or some kind of hook tool, and press on the retainer for the wiper switch, and pull the wiper switch **** off(see the picture below).
Take the screws out of the dash panel that hold it on.
Pull it out as far as you can, reach back through and push sideways on the retainer for the speedo cable, and disconnect the cable.
The cluster should come on out, where you can disconnect the plug for the wiring.

yeah, another bulb blew tongiht when i turned on the lights, so now i can only see the speedo, lmao.
But yeah, there is a lil gizmo you gotta press with the wiper and lights *****, but a lil screwdriver works good too.
Gotta tear into that tomarrow, along wiht the door panels to wire in some door speaks.
too bad shucks closed early today, lol.
