heater problems

My heater box came apart does anyone have any good sugestions for fixing this I would really like to get my defrosters back quick.

If the box is that fibreglass/plastic type stuff, I have used fiberglass filled body filler to patch mine. Look for a body filler with fiberglass strands in it, it will stick to the box after you rough it up with real coarse sandpaper and the fiber gives it strength.

You could try the wrecking yard also. I have seen a few in the yards around my place. If you use the fiberjust be careful.

K....What year and style of truck?

Makes a difference in mountings.

Did it just fall off the metal part or did the rivits fail holding the sections together?

65 custom cab and it came apart at the corrner were the defrosters go in. my daughter was driving. I removed her patch job a bunch of cardboard and it looks like she kicked the lower left corner and it is broken. I may be able to rebuild it with glass I am not sure. I would really like a replacement for it.
