Ventvisors

Anyone have the in- channel mount ventvisors? Do they work well? Do they cause any problem with the window closing or the seal of the window?

Has anyone had both the tape on exterior mount and the in- channels? Which do/did you like better?

I had a set of the tape ons but I'm interested in trying the others this time.

Thanks

I bought and installed inchanell window visors for the front and rear windows from Westtech. The front visors hold well but the rear inchannel visors did not. The rear visors had the tendency to get loose when the rear windows are lowered, infact I already lost one visor, when stupid me lowered the window while the vehicle was moving.

I have the in-channel style on my Explorer, and the tape-on style on my Excursion. I prefer the tape-on style. Once they're stuck, they are NOT coming off unless you want them to. Provided to clean the mounting area properly...

I've had the in-channel type on my Excursion for about a year & no problem other than the visor on the driver's window came loose down at the bottom but a 6" piece of double stick tape fixed that. The ones I bought have double stick tape all around the edge where it fits into the channel. I think the in-channel type look much cleaner than the stick on kind.

My Ex has the in channel type and although they have come partially loose now and then -- I think they're great. I suppose I could put a piece of double sided tape on them and they'd never come loose but, to tell the truth, it hasn't really been a problem.

I’ve had both in-channel and stick-on. I’ve had problems pulling the stick-on type loose when washing and letting go with age. My opinion is that the in-channel ones are more secure and cleaner looking. I presently have the Wade brand on my 2005 X Limited and have no issues with them in regard to the window sealing tight and they don’t seem to affect the speed of the electric motor driving the windows. I don’t have to worry about popping them off when I wash either.
