Hi there. I was wondering if anyone here has had problems with there sliding rear window having gaps in the bottom corners. on both sides of the window it looks like the glass was cut too short and there is a gap almost big enough to put a finger through. Its a regular cab truck with a blown a/c compressor so id like to keep the sliding rear windoew. Anybody have any advice about where a guy should get a replacement from?
Might have answered my own question. just talked to my ford parts guy and he suspects someone has replaced my window with one from an older truck from the 80s. I guess this could explain why my 93 shortbox flareside has squeeze type latch and my 93 longbox has the locking type latch.
your parts guy has no clue. and should not be a parts guy. ford used the same window for the rear from 73-96 and 98 in large trucks. so it won't matter. but my guess is that slider is a cheap after market one so go find a ford one and install it.
