i found some heat pad at a big rig truck shop. popped my glass out of the head. stuck the pads on the back then ran them into a switch in the cab that only comes on when the truck is running. ive got the big head mirrors on my truck.
i dont have any pics of the install of this i have the big non power mirrors. all i had to do was pull the rubber strip out around the glass and it came right out.
then i put the pads on and just had to drop the glass back in and use a putty knife to get the bead stuff back in there to hold the glass. i used some black rtv to make sure it stayed in too. i left a 1/8" gap in the bottom of the rubber bead to let moisture come out of the mirrors and make sure as it heated and cooled it wouldnt pop the glass out.
