So, I found replacement exhaust manifold, but I can't get the down pipe to seal against the manifold.
Any suggestions on how to do this?
I'm thinking of using an extremely high temp sealant and smear it around the output of the manifold, then put the down pipe back on it, but I don't know if I could even find a sealant that would work at manifold temps.
I bought some hi-temp silicone with copper in it from Advance Auto parts. I have used it on all of my harley pipes and just two days ago did the same thing to my 88 f250 exhaust manifold to downpipe connection and it seems to be working well. Just be sure to let it set up for 24 hours before running it.
