Help with E4OD..please.
I have a '92 F-150 with a E4OD tranny. My question is how does one adjust the shifting of the tranny to eliminate hard shifting from Low range to 2nd gear? My tranny almost seems to jump from low to 2nd sometimes, but it does not do it in any other range. Thanks in advance for your comments and/or suggestions.

RTP...mlp doesn't always set a code. but the Manual Lever Position is a sensor that has had a lot of grief for owners. As i understand it, the sensor works , but changes the shift points at the wrong time due to ....moisture. Dew. high humidity. Ford has an improved sensor connector for just this reason. I got the harness upgrade, cured the harsh shifts....I guess when the sensor is operating in the one volt range, anything that let any amount of moisture into the connect will change the voltage, thus changing the shift point. There is a TSB for these years, got mine from aldata.The computer is right that everything is working. it was less than 100$ , maybe that included the mlp also. another fifteen minute fix for hours of agrivation
