Find the inertia sensor fuel cutoff (which I believe is located behind the kick panel on the passenger side in all F150s). Unplug the connector that goes to the relay.
Crank the truck and let in run until it dies. The fuel system is now depressurized.
You can safely remove the fuel filter.
Do you have the special tool to remove the filter?
If not, stop by local parts place and get one. You will need it.
After replacing the filter, plug the relay back up and you are ready to go.
Remember to check for leaks.
