Cheap Tune Ups

Hey guys,

Yes i'm a newbie, but i have a few questions...I am 16 years old, my frist car is a 95 ford F150. I love this car so much, its in great shape. But i would like to make it faster ( yes i know...so does every other teenager) i don't have alot of money but was really looking for a air intake, does anyone know of a great cheap web site i could order from? or some cheap ways to get my HP? i was looking for a intake kit under $150...don't know if that is in sight or not...

Also,

I want this thing to be loud...would strait pipes be the way to go? how much would they set me back? where can i get them?

cheapest bang for the buck will be power pulleys. You're not making extra power, just underdriving the accessories thus transferring more power to the rear wheels.

Despite what it says on the box, most mods give marginal increases in performance.

Expect to spend BIG money if you want to see really noticeable results.

what engine, trans. are you working with?

my suggestions:

get truck looking good, clean, good wheels and tires.

sounding good, nice steero and speakers.

running good, tuneup, no oil leaks.

than enjoy riding with the girls and your friends.

fast is not all that. and at 16 you will be better off slow and cool looking.

just my 2 cents.

To make the truck fast, you are better off looking at getting a new set of rear gears. 3.73s, or 4.10s. That will give it a good kick. Also, a new exhaust and intake will help some, but to really give it some kick, save up for a blower, or nitrous.
