2 level SuperChips tuner

Ken or anyone with SuperChips knowledge,
I have a 2 level SuperChips 1705 tuner (manufactured date of 5/06/03) that I recently bought from a friend and have a couple of questions about it. This one says that I can tow up to 4000lb in the hi-perf tuning, the 3 level tuners don't permit any towing in hi-perf mode. Should I tow my fishing boat (maybe 750lb) or my utility trailer (with bark, stones, etc..) in the hi-perf setting? Is that ok for the tranny? I will change it for my 9000lb fifth wheel for sure but is it necessary for the smaller items? Can this unit be upgraded to a 3 level or is it not really worth doing that?

I put it in last night in for the first time, WOW is all I can say!!! That much more power and speed and better fuel mileage is amazing. Who would have thought a big ol diesel could run like that. You mustang drivers better look out!

The tuning is completely different between the two type of programmers. The high performance mode on the older tuner has less horsepower than the high performance mode on the newer tuner, and can handle mild towing. You should have no problem with 750lbs.

Unfortunately it can't be upgraded. Superchips has done swaps in the past but its cost prohibitive... bang for the buck I'd say stick with the tuner you have if it meets your needs.
