Outside temp reading

My temp reading on my overhead use to be very accurate. This morning on the way to work my daughter said dad I don't think its 133 degrees out. Any idea what may be wrong. New sensor? Any help greatly appreciated.

I bet is is a sensor, or the wiring to the sensor. I work with sensors and a lot of them have a failure mode that depends on the failure. A full scale temp reading can be caused by a short in the wires going to the sensor or by a failed sensor. An open circuit in the wiring would have the opposite effect and there would be no reading, or some meaningless value displayed. I think the sensor is in the air intake near the MAF sensor.
