Fuel Consumption (Range)

I have a 95 F150 Extended with a 4,9 I6 motor, what type of range do owners of similar vehicles get on a tank of gas ? (I have 2 tanks on mine)

Thanks, Chet

I have a 1996 F-150, 5-speed, I-6, regular cab, 2.73 rear, long bed, 2WD, single tank and I try to go 300 mi between fill-ups. (avg 20mpg)

I'd realistically expect 14~16 with a C6 depending on the rear gear ratio.

My 95 Supercab w/302 has 16 gallon and 18 gallon respectively. I get 275 miles per front tank.

If you have a longbed, the front tank is 18.5. Shortbed and the front is 16.5. The rear is 18.2 regardless.

I get 15 in my 1991 below. You may get less than I do with a C6. No overdrive.

I get 15 in my 94 F150 4x4 5.o. You should be comparable if you're 4x2 and less if you're 4x4 too. What gearing do you have?

Popa Tim - Sounds like you're saying the 4.9L chugs the fuel a bit more than the 5.0L, everything else equal - didn't know that. Figured they be about equal....
