Exaust Question..???
I have a '78 F-250... I took out the old 400 and put in a 351W roller motor...I was wondering if there is a certain type of header I should use for this application...
Any info is greatly appreciated...

i figure that you plan on scraping the oem stuff. i would suggest that you chose a shorty style header and this is where it gets weird. i had a 66 f100 that i had a 351w in and shorty headers and had a local muffler build a y pipe from 2.5 tube and used a prefab y pipe collector from flow master flo-y250300a. i ran a 3" inlet and outlet muffler and turned the exhaust out in the stock location. the beauty of this set up is cost and if your area smog laws dictate a cat converter you can plumb directly aft of the collector. your local muffler shop can order the 3" tube and it will flow like gang busters.when it comes to mufflers ive run flow masters for atleast ten years, but recently switched to hooker areo chambers. the hookers are quieter and easier on my ear drums. hope this helps

Sanderson headers (in my opinion-cause i have aset) makes one of the best set of short tube headers---coated both inside and out that will fit the 351m\400\351c-----the're not cheap---look up their website to get their number!!!fd
