I guess Ford will have to reconsider small piston big crank with a supercharger logic. I hate GM they fire more Americans and make more money off Americans. The big block 427 is coming back too. If Bill wants to keep up he needs to dump the triton engine and the electronic throttle control. My complaint all along.
That first link is almost a yr old. Folks have been talking about the return of the Camaro since GM quit making them. I'll believe it when I see one on my local car lot.
Looks a lot like that design that kid did a couple years ago for a college class. I read somewhere that it got to GM and they rejected it, which if thats true and the second link is 'fact' - I'd be perking up if I was that kid. I hope it comes back for the sake of the rivarly of Ford vs Chevy.
I thought I read in Popular Hot Rodding a story saying that it wasn't going to happen, and I thought it was the month after that article in the 2nd link you posted. I'll try lookking around the website, and if that doesn't work, I'm sure I still have it in my bathroom.
I would also like to see the return of the Camaro for the sake of the rivalry.

Fire more Americans .... YES. Make more money off Americans .... No, GM lost $1.3 billion the last half year.

I dont believe its a big block. The newest z06's were rumored to have a 427CI motor, making near 550HP, but it was an LS based block. If you look under the hood up camaro's and vettes, there isnt room for a big block.
Well, coincidentally, my stealership owning friend offered to trade me a 95 fire engine red v6 Camaro (with slushbox) that needs work on that 3.4L plus 2 hundies ($200, for those not in the know...) for my MGB that he will put on Ebay for at least parts.
Hmmm, $200 car in great shape, toss the v6 and tranny, find a LT1 derivetrain that will bolt right in being a 95 year factory option....find a cop Z28 computer to help the tranny shifting...Heaven. Don't really have to mess with the brakes or suspension since I won't use it but as a cruiser or whenever I don't feel like shifting (hurricane evacuations) and to **** my mom off, since she had to sell her 91 v6 Camaro to get her C1500 and she loves the soap bar body style.
Then again, my amigo recently sold a white 95 v6/auto convertible for $3500 that gets over 30mpg on the highway. Decisions, decisions.....
