I recently purchased an 06 F-350 PSD and have about 1,500 miles on it. At speeds less that 65 the engin lopes or surges, you can see the tach needle bouncing just a little bit. Guessing 30 - 50 rpm. This is not a heavy surge but a constant un un un un un. Has anyone else noticed this problem? My dealer is over 100 miles away so I will not be able to get in for a service check until next week.

Tommy,
Have you recently changed the oil? Check and see where the oil is on the dip stick. Its supposed to hold 15qts of oil, but the HPOP sump holds back 0.8 qt, so when changing, most guys refill w/ 14. This should put you right in the middle of the bulb. Its possible that if "overfull" the oil will foam up slightly, and this could be the cause of the surging.
