i am about to put together my suspension on my 72 bronco and was just curious... has anyone here wrsited there pass side arm? and whose coils did you get to compliment it? i have a set of BC coils on the way and i am hoping i wll gain some good flex out of the deal
B.C.'s makes good stuff, so I would think you'll be good there. I have not wristed my arm, but folks who have done it have liked it. When it comes time for me to do something like that, I think I'll weld Johnny Joints to the ends of the radius arm that mounts to the frame. That way there is no pinning, but you still get the twisting action. You'll have to check your shocks too. They will likely limit your travel. If you're running the stock mounts, you will for sure have trouble. Options are the F-250 mounts (I have a brand new set I'd sell) or a shock hoops, but you'll need longer shocks!
My rear flex is good, but I sure would like to get something more out of the front. I just need time to play!
fishy, i watched a guy with wristed arms, he torched an RTI ramp, it was sick. Your BC coils should flex fine, but like mentioned you will need longer shocks, duff's sells some, so does wildhorses 4x4.
well that makes me feel better . i think i am good on the front, now i just have to try and match the rear. i think i am just gonna drop the mounts as much as i need. i will be using my rear bumper for a shackle mount so i can ditch the shackle hanger.
