Power steering leak help please
My '76 F-150 power steering is leaking from the bottom seal above the pitman arm. Can I change the bottom seal with it in the truck, from underneath? Thanks for quick help!

You really need to take the box out. There is an inner seal, spacer washer, outer seal, and snap ring on some boxes. Some only have one seal and the spacer. The sector shaft needs to be out of the housing to get the old seals out and the new ones in.

The shaft needs to come out! Trust me. The only other temp fix remedy is to let it leak out an entire quart of stop leak power steering fluid.
