Anyone know the size and pitch of the threads for the oil pressure sending unit? I want to rig up to have both the stock oil pressure switch AND an after market op gauge running simultaneously. The gauge instructions show that you can drop in an adaptor and a "T" fitting and put the factory op sending unit on one of the fittings and their gauge on the other. If I do this, it'll be on the ground as I don't have access to a lift. At my age (63), I don't want to be crawling in and out learning any more than I have to.
While I'm at it, what do you think would be a 'reasonable' price to pay to have someone install a triple after market gauge set (op, ammeter, water temp)? Where would you install it on a '90 F150? I can't seem to find any place reasonable under the dash so thought I'd do it on the floor behind the stick. Any other ideas?
copy & paste that to your browser, since the links don't seem to work.
or, google search 'gauge pods 90 ford f150" and summit will be the first link.
around 20 bucks for these gauge pods. they mount on the windsheild A-pillar. look pretty cool. My buddies with diesels get them for their boost gauges and what-not.
