Anyone used tried, measured, talked to some guy who,has used denali or escalade seats in 56 or similar.yes yes i know but ford doesnt make seats with seat belts that go through the shoulder of the seat.Much cleaner than a hole in the cab back and fitting head liner. Besides leather(heated) is awesome!!!!!!

How about getting a gallery set up so we can all ogle your truck?
I managed to pick up a set of front buckets from a late 90's Suburban. Full pwer w/lumbar. I havent got them mounted yet but I think they will work out well. I'm going to have to remove the headrests from them so that they do not stick up past the bottom of the rear window but other than that they look pretty good (and they were free!!)
Als, mine do not have the seatbelts as part of the seat assy.
I am info seeking way ahead of the curve .Black frame and engine/trany right now.Want to find parts to tuck away as I can come across/afford them.Did you use center consol?
I'm in the same boat. I have got most of themajor fabrication out of the way to get engine/trans/brakes/steering working andhave even driven the cab and chassis around the block (enough to really smoke the tires....LOL)
No I don't have the center console, I don't think there would be room in my 49 for it anyway. My seats were free as they were pulled out of a stolen and abandoned suburban that was found upside down in a gulley outside of town. You got to take what you can get....
The 56 is wide enough to hold 3 adults on it's bench seat, so I'd expect it would be hard to find any bucket seats too wide to fit. I have 2 captain's chairs out of a van conversion in mine and there's enough room between them to walk thru.
My plan is to use a 90's Suburban split bench with the driver/pax integral seatbelt/shoulder harness and the little center seat belt for that occasional third (small) person.

I used 2000 Buick LeSabre leather 60/40 power seats (with built-in 3-point belts) in my 56. They are very comfortable and fit well side to side but I feel they are a bit to big front to back for anyone over average height. I'm 5'-11" and I feel a little cramped in the legs. It would help if the steering column was more horizontal. There is a partial pic in my gallery.
Set the envoy seats in today for test fit front to back ok,need bracket to set seat taller, not enough room for stock center consol.Gas tank out of cab. THey do feel good!!!!!
If you are 6 foot tall or better, try to find seats with thin backs which can be adjusted straight up. This way, they'll go back to the max; you'll need every inch of space possible to get a comfortable driving position.
