While I was looking under the hood of my truck today I noticed my alternator bracket is cracked, and on its way to busted. I called my parts guy and he said the only way to get one is a junk yard or dealer. Does anyone know what years will fit mine if I go to the junkyard? I've got a 77 F-250 with a 351M. 70's pickups don't make it to junkyards around here very often......I'm hoping I can pull it off an 80's truck. Or if anyone has an extra I'd be interested in buying it. Let me know. Thanks.
I think they made the M motors (351/400) from 77-82.Look for a pickup in those years or a T-bird,Cougar or similar full size Ford car. These are fairly common in the junk yards.I may have a couple extras here in CT if you have no luck.
