Let’s start here three weeks ago I replaced both rear ujoints on my 2000 f150 scab. The front one was original and the back one had been replaced before. I had a heck of a time getting those out. They had the tell tale clunk and a squeak when I would drive slow. Three weeks later I’m getting the clunk again so I change them out again and I messed a needle bearing up the first time so I put both in again just to be sure. Put the shaft in took her down the road a couple miles brought her back now my squeak is back. I know the ball joints are loose going to put them in this weekend, but this is the same squeak I had before I started the first time. I’ve changed many ujoints in my life and never had this problem before. My question to you all is has anybody had this problem before. I love my truck but I’m about to blow it up or just pull my hair out trying to figure this out.
When does the squeek happen? Going over bumps? Does the noise increase with speed?
Best race all year
I really cant hear it over 10 to 15 mph wind noise drowns it out i mean its just barly there you dont hear it with the window up. but man drive thru the local drive thru and the bounce of the building drives you crazy.
Ill try the search on the yoke and see it i find sompthing there.
