I have motion controlled floodlights on the driveway and an alarm system on the truck but it isn't much good if I'm not home. I will be gone for two weeks and because I have one of the most popular trucks with the Mexican smugglers I want to disable it so it won't start. It looks like removing fuse #8 for the Injector Drive Module might be the one to do the job. Am I right and does anyone have any other ideas. I even considered removing a wheel but there must be an easier way. This area is the stolen vehicle capital of the Country....... Thanks...

Removing a fuse has always been my solution (IDM or PCM will do the trick), but it won't help if they have a wrecker. Unfortunately, if they want it bad enough they'll find a way of getting it. I'd also turn the wheel all the way to one side before locking the steering wheel, it'll help deter towing. Of course you can always lock a couple of rattlers in the cab and give a surprise...
How about a stout chain routed through one of the rims and around the leaf spring?
If you are really concerned about it, consider a rented storage stall that will hold the truck.
Crawl under and unplug the wiring harness to your cam position sensor, quick, and won't leave an open slot in the fuse block, if they are swift enough to happen to look there. It won't start then, and not too many thieves will know how to diagnose a no start problem.
It also won't help if they have a wrecker or means to haul it to a chop shop. You could always take all the wheels off and set her down on blocks. It may make them think the good stuff has already been cleaned out, a lot of work though.
I'm thinking on pulling up tight to a large prickly pear cactus with it's 1" thorns to discourage messing with the hood, locking the wheels turned and disconnecting the cam sensor. The flood lights and alarm horn should help some.. My wife will be home and the pit bull as a warning but I don't want her opening the door even if someone is at the truck. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid but after three scum knocked her down at a nearby shopping mall and took her purse, I don't have much faith in the security of the area. I'm not too conserned about loosing the truck when I'm home because with the dog and alarm as a warning I figure me and Mr. Colt with the red eye can handle the situation. It's a shame we have to live this way but that's life in the big city. If she would agree to move we'd be outta here by morning..... Thanks for your suggestions..
