Thin wall sockets
I recently purchased a set of custom wheels. I found the new style has little clearance between the lug nut and wheel lug hole. They told me there is a special socket used for these wheels, but I couldn't find one. They are 3/4" sockets. Someone told me a spark plug socket fits, but that didn't work. I ground down a impact socket and it works, but if you use too much torque, the socket will snap. Any suggestions?

I used a deep 1/2" drive chrome socket when I was changing tires for a living. I never had one break, and I usually broke two or three impact sockets per month. Some of those were from hammering on over locks the owners lost the key to, though.
