I have a 2004 F250 Super Duty Turbo Deisel, that so far since I bought it new have had to have it in for clunking noise when I turn wheel 1/2 to full turn left or right. When I turn into street, parking spot ect. Dealer hears it then can't find it then it goes away. Goes away for 2-4 months then back again. Eacxh time dealer is lost. Has anyone had this problem before? If so how did you fix it. Right now I have 44300 miles and if right warrenty is good to 75000 miles. I just wwant it fixed.

I'll take a guess at it. Reach under the front end of your truck and get a good grasp on the drag link, then twist it toward you as hard as you can so it bangs against the tie-rod. Is that the noise?

 

no wish it was that easy. everything is tight and now since it was in dealer for 5 days again it has stopped. I'll see how long before it makes noise again. Thanks any way.

 

If you have ESOF the hubs might be partially locked (not unlocking fully) and when you turn may be trying to engage the axle.

Also, you might have a rock in the hubcap or a loose hubcap.
