Ever seen this before?
I have no codes.
New Fuel Filter, oil change.
This just started happening today. The truck has not been drivin in 3 days. Now after 15 - 20 miles of driving it starts lobing. When I come to a stoplight the truck is surging forward while idling like a 208/210 cam in a big block. Maybe two revs per second. After a minute or so, it will slowly come back to idle at 720-750. Anybody?? I am going to call Edge to see if they have seen this.
No, same oil. Seems like a fuel problem. I don't think my "water in fuel" light is even on my speedo face. I'm going to check that today. I suspect the fuel, fuel pump, cam sensor or TPS. When it starts doing the wierd thing, I put it in neutral and it slowly goes away back to a regular idle. The truck is also idling at 1050 every once and a while. Otherwise she runs fine.
I "think" it will be in your tuner. If I start my truck in program #2 it will do the same thing. It will lope like hell; it goes from 500rpms to 1000rpms very quick. Just like a huge cam would do. It goes away as soon as I flip to another setting. If I switch it back to #2 it is not there. Setting # 2 on my flip chip is the stock setting. I know we are talking about 2 different programmers, but mine does the same thing. My 8 year old loves it.
Either scan it or put a gauge on the hpop, you might have a problem with your IPR. I have a buddy whos truck is doing the same thing, his ICP is at 1600 just Idling. does the truck sound louder and clatter more when idiling?

Wow, Buickturbo I have the same problem. I spoke to Jody and he said it's the IPR. What's your email address? I have a document from Jody on how to clean the IPR. I'm gonna do this today, I'll let you know if it fixed the problem.
