I bled my power steering this evening with both front heels of the ground. The steering went lock to lock with out any problems. Once I droped the front wheels to the ground, the steering wheel would turn until it got tight and then it would just grind with out turning the wheel.
Any Ideas what could be up and how I could fix it?
Ban-four,what kind of truck and what kind of box do you have? 77 to 79 4x4 boxes are hard to bleed off the air.I leave the tires on the ground and turn the wheel back and forth until I see no more bubbles.Sometimes you have to let the system sit overnight to let the thousands of micro sized bubbles settle out of the system.Make sure you keep an eye on the oil level when you are running the engine.Hope this helps.

Ok, got it fixed! I did not tighten the bolt on the rag joint. That is all it was! Now I just need to get my column cut and welded and I will be on my way.
