time for front seal
I have a '92 F-150 with a 5.0 L and E4OD. I have the motor out. I have not noticed the Tranny front seal leaking at all, but i am wondering if this would be a good time to put a new front seal in. the tranny has 210,000 miles on it. I smoked the motor so i pulled it to rebuild. I pulled the torque converter and noticed that seal sitting there, can i just pop it out and pop in a new one and slide the torque converter back in or is it a bit more involved than that on this E4OD? Also, do i have to refill the torque converter seperately after draining it, or just pour fluid in the pan and start it to refill the torque too?
thanks much for all your help guys.
