hey guys
this is Smitty & wanted to say hello to all. Just got my first ford/ diesel truck this weekend. I live in Ohio & got a truck on ebay in Pennsylvania; juist went & picked it up yesterday.
Its a 94 3/4 ton converted to a dually, with the 94 IDI diesel (pre-powerstroke). It has a Banks Sidewinder kit on it, & 4.10's in the rear end. I got about 14-15 mpg with it doing 65-75 with a fair amt. of hills, so I'm hoping to do some tuning to make things better.
I currently have a 95 dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 gas truck that is terrible with mileage when pulling my trailer, & an 87 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 that used to be my main truck for many yrs. It is now my backup/other plow truck. Any suggestions on how to make my blue oval run better would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the info on here!
